SC/ST Cell
The SC/ST Cell of Bapuji Institute of Hi-Tech Education is established to safeguard the rights, dignity, and welfare of students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) communities. The Cell functions in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Government of India to ensure equal opportunities, social justice, and an inclusive academic environment.
The institute is committed to preventing discrimination based on caste and promoting equality, mutual respect, and harmony among all students. The SC/ST Cell addresses grievances, creates awareness about government welfare schemes, and provides necessary guidance and support for the overall academic and personal development of SC/ST students.
The Cell also organizes awareness programmes, counselling sessions, and educational activities to promote constitutional values, social inclusion, and equal participation in academic and co-curricular activities.

Powers and Functions of the SC/ST Cell
- To ensure effective implementation of Government and UGC policies for SC/ST students.
- To prevent discrimination and promote equality on the campus.
- To receive, examine, and address complaints related to caste-based discrimination.
- To create awareness regarding the rights and welfare schemes available for SC/ST students.
- To provide counselling, academic guidance, and career support.

Measures Taken by the Institution
The institution follows a strict policy against caste-based discrimination and ensures equal opportunities for all students. The SC/ST Cell actively works to create awareness regarding constitutional rights, scholarship schemes, reservation policies, and student welfare programmes. Regular counselling sessions, orientation programmes, awareness campaigns, grievance redressal mechanisms, and mentoring support are conducted to empower students. Procedure for Addressing Complaints
Complaints related to discrimination or grievances may be submitted through the following channels:
- Through the notified contact details of the SC/ST Cell members.
- Through the Principal, Heads of Departments, Faculty Members, or Student Mentors.
- Through the institutional grievance redressal mechanism.
Upon receiving a complaint:
- The concerned authority shall immediately inform the Chairperson of the SC/ST Cell.
- A preliminary enquiry will be conducted to collect the necessary facts.
- The SC/ST Cell shall investigate the matter confidentially and fairly.
- The committee will submit its findings and recommendations to the Principal.
- Appropriate action will be initiated as per UGC regulations, institutional rules, and applicable Government guidelines.
- Confidentiality and protection of the complainant shall be maintained throughout the process.
